UNLV professor and author, Richard Wiley, will read from his long-awaited “Commodore Perry’s Minstrel Show” at Barrick Museum Auditorium, UNLV campus. This novel is the prequel to his PEN/Faulkner Award-winning “Soldiers in Hiding.” His latest novel captures the complicated drama of Imperial Japan and expansionist America in the first throes of globalization. This is part of the University Forum Lecture Series sponsored by the UNLV College of Liberal Arts. It is co-sponsored by the Black Mountain Institute.
