Gerald Wilson Conducts Jazz Orchestra

Jazz legend, composer, arranger and conductor Gerald Wilson will lead the UNLV Jazz Orchestra in a concert on Sun Apr 1 @ 2:00 pm. Wilson has been holding master classes for students in UNLV’s Jazz Studies Program and the Sunday concert is a recital of those efforts. He is a well-known figure in the jazz world and has been honored by the Monterey Jazz Festival twice by composing the score to commemorate the festival’s 40th and now 50th anniversaries.
