Egypt should become Silicon Valley
A Point of View, Egypt, Politics | Sandra | February 16, 2011 at 09:51Wael Gohnim tweeted: Egypt has what it takes to become the 2nd Silicon Valley. Talents in Technology, infinite passion and soon real democracy.
I’ve been sending out that vibe myself for days. I see Silicon Valley, Mombai (I don’t think the Indians are going to quit and go home) and Cairo Egypt as incubation centers for new technology.
I see Wael Gohnim as Minister of a new Ministry of Technology – although running a bureaucracy is maybe harder than winning a revolution. It’s not more dangerous and your life is not on the line, but the dreary process can grind you down almost as low as the security police. Death by a thousand cuts.
