Weather clearing Tripoli. Ferry sailed. No-Fly Zone Obama?

Okay.  The internet tells me the weather is clearing in Tripoli Libya. 51 degrees F. Scattered clouds. Winds 12 mph. The ferry to evacuate Americans with guest Brits and Canadians should be sailing from Tripoli to Malta.

No more threat of hostage-taking, like in Iraq. Obama you need to act. You need to show that you’re ready to put your money where you mouth is. We need to ride in like a knight in shining armor on a white horse. We will win so much for our national image. But we will also act what we talk. We’ll walk the walk.

What would it cost to do a No-Fly Zone? We don’t have to be unilateral.  Do it with Britain and France. They’re ready. Listen to Sarkozy and Cameron. They’re under tremendous pressure and are personally fed up with Gaddafi.

Please!  Do the right thing. Is it so much to make a no-fly zone? What does it cost?

It will make such a statement to the last of the Gaddafi hanger-ons. “It’s not worth it. I don’t want to take on the US for this guy. He’s an old man. He’s crazy.” Not to mention what it will mean to the morale of the brave Libyan people.

I want to be proud of America’s role. We’re good people. We’ re generous. We’re not like some of the small-minded, small-hearted politicians we see on TV.

They have a right to their say. That’s democracy. But they’re not us. Not in our hearts.
