are indeed a special breed. Not ashamed to call themselves geeks, they pride themselves on outerworldly perspectives and fuel their cosmic curiosity with books, films, comic books and gaming (not gambling.) The Vegas Science Fiction Association invites any “book geek, movie buff or serious gamer” to their meetings the first Monday of the month at Clark County Library. It’s all business from 7-7:45 pm, followed by an hour of open discussion. It would be worth attending just to discover what the “all business” is about. The group moves to IHOP on Maryland Pkwy afterwards – nothing like a good dialogue on Universal Fandom over a stack and coffee. 1401 E. Flamingo Rd, a block E of Maryland Pkwy
