This annual picnic hosted by the Las Vegas Jazz Society is free to the public. Happening on Sun Apr 22 at 2pm, it is part of the LVJS Jazz Month festivities. There will be four hours of non-stop music with a host of jazz artists: Manny Gomez and Bill Swick on guitar, Larry White, vocalist and pianist with his Quintet, and Quintessence led by drummer John Nasshan and featuring Walt Blanton, trumpet, Dave Stambaugh, sax, John Matteson, piano, and Geoff Neuman, bass. The closing group will be the Green Valley High School Jazz Orchestra led by Cecil Meyers. Between the sets, you will have The Brass on the Grass Band among the crowd. Bring your own picnic or buy food and beverages from the vendors. Reminder that alcohol is not permitted on the grounds of the Rainbow Library Amphitheatre. 3150 N.
