Ragtime Music & George Hamilton Green
FREE, UNLV | Sandra | April 28, 2007 at 14:48On Tues May 1 the University Forum Free Lecture Series presents the Ragtime Music for the Xylophone and Marimba Band: The Contribution of George Hamilton Green, considered a virtuoso of the genre. The “novelty music” gained wide spread popularity in the 1920’s and is the mainstay of college percussion programs. The UNLV Percussion faculty and the Ragtime Rebels Marimba Band play.
