Dead or Alive – US/UK put £10m bounty on Gaddafi

That’s the story reported on MSN news. Spies and operatives from the US and UK are supposedly in Libya handing out bundles of cash to anyone who might get close to Gaddafi. They’ll pay £10 million or $16 million and change to anyone who brings in Gaddafi – dead or alive.

The claim is that the bounty on Gaddafi is being floated up the food chain and that lower members of his military staff are already on board. The “money is no object” approach has not worked so far with Osama Bin Laden, but if these reports are true, UK/US covert operations are banking on less loyalty among Gaddadi’s inner circle.

Given that it’s probably a suicide mission for a lone shooter, I’d say it’ll take a team of conspirators to succeed. But Julius Caesar was done in by fellow Senators right on the Roman Senate floor, so who’s ever to know what motivates men?
