While you see a lot of the truth on CBC’s Fifth Estate, it’s a whole other story on Libyan State TV. They’ve now started a special English version to convince the world of Gaddafi’s bizarre vision of reality. It’s worth a watch on the YouTube just to see the Orwell-inspiredÂ propaganda machine of Gaddafi.

I especially like the colorful language of Â “greasy rat terrorists” Â and “warmongering cheerleaders.” Â And then there’s the reference to Al Qaeda and Stinger missiles. It seems like a parody on SNL. Too bad it’s in dead earnest.

As an aside, the foreign journalists who were invited into Tripoli to report the truth, are now under virtual “hotel” arrest. Guess Gaddafi didn’t agree with the truth they were reporting.
