Speechless at NATO inaction and undecided if leaders incompetent or lying.

It doesn’t happen very often to me that I’m speechless, but that’s just where I am today. The tweets are flying with news of massacres in several Libyan cities in the 24 hours since the UN Security Council approved a No-Fly Zone along with all means necessary to stop violence against civilians, including military action.

The Gaddafi regime keeps claiming they are observing a self-imposed ceasefire while advancing on Benghazi and pursuing a scorched-earth policy against Misrata, Zintan, Adjabaya and any other village or hamlet that stands in their way. More people might have been killed since the so-called “ceasefire” than in all the weeks leading up to now.

And still the West doesn’t act. Head of NATO Rasmussen has been saying that NATO was preparing and would be ready when given the legal mandate from the UN Security Council. France says that everything is ready. Obama goes on TV to announce that Gaddafi must pull back from cities, stop advancing toward Benghazi and allow humanitarian aid to flow freely and safely. Well, Gaddafi has ignored all three of those ultimatums and still nothing from Europe except more talk and inaction.

Are these people incompetent or lying? I don’t know what to believe anymore. I am speechless.
